Helpt Standard Payment Policy
This page explains how billing, onboarding credits, non-payment, and overages work for Helpt services. We aim to keep it transparent and easy to understand.
1. Subscription Timing
Your subscription begins on the day you sign up, and you are billed monthly in advance for each upcoming month of service.
Your usage cycle runs from the day of signup through the day before that same date next month.
Charges and time calculations are based on Pacific Time (PT), regardless of your location.
Example:
You sign up on June 3. Your first billing cycle runs from June 3 to July 2. Your next charge will occur on July 3 for the subsequent cycle.
If you sign up at 2 am Eastern Time on June 3, it counts as June 2, as our billing system uses Pacific Time.
2. Onboarding Timeline & Credit
Helpt services require onboarding before launch. Our typical onboarding timelines are:
HelptNow: Launch scheduled for 2 business days after onboarding completion.
HelptFlow: Launch scheduled for 5 business days after onboarding completion.
HelptFul: Launch scheduled for 5 business days after onboarding completion.
Because onboarding takes time, we apply a one-time, prorated credit:
The credit reflects the number of unused days between sign-up and your actual service launch date.
It is capped at your first month’s subscription amount (onboarding fees are excluded).
The credit is applied after your third monthly payment, appearing on your fourth invoice.
Example:
You sign up on June 3, launch on June 13. Your fourth invoice will include a credit for those 10 unused days.
3. Automatic Billing & Non-Payment
Subscriptions are billed monthly and renew automatically.
Payment is attempted using the payment method on file.
If payment fails, we retry over several days.
If no payment is received within 14 days, your account may be paused or assessed late fees.
We’ll notify you in advance and offer options if you're having billing issues.
4. Consumption & Overages
We understand support volume can fluctuate.
If you exceed your plan limits, you may see a charge on your next invoice at the standard rate outlined in your plan.
If you repeatedly and significantly exceed your plan limits, we reserve the right to upgrade your plan, which should result in the reduction of consumption and overage costs.
In some cases, we may suggest a retroactive upgrade in order to reduce overage costs.
Example:
Your HelptFlow plan is for 500 minutes. As your needs increase, your consumption reaches 800 minutes. Typically, your overage would be $1,050. Retroactively upgrading your plan to 800 minutes costs $900, saving you $150, and positioning your plan for reduced overages in future months.
We try to handle overages proactively and fairly. If your usage grows consistently, we’ll work with you to find the right plan.
